WHAT IS STAR WARZONE?

Star Warzone is a very intense, Star Wars themed "Capture The Flag" zone, in a multiplayer online game that we all have grown to love, called Subspace, which was originally published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment. Years ago, the VIE team shutdown their servers that created a darkness for all Subspace players, but it did not last for a long time. With the addicting players we have today, we have some dedicated servers that host many types of zones on SSC. Even with dedicated servers, this game could not survive without the players.

If you have seen or are a fan of the Star Wars TM Trilogy, you should love Star Warzone. In SWZ, you have two teams. You can become part of the Imperial Fleet (Freq 0), or join the Rebel Alliance (Freq 1). Your goal is to capture all 15 flags, carry them to your choice of bases, and defend them for 200 seconds to win a jackpot, which becomes larger over a short period of time. To win the jackpot, you pick up the enemies flags or destroy your enemy that is carrying your flags. Once the timer of the last flag that is being carried runs out, you and you team are given the jackpot.

Your team will comprise of fighters, bombers, cloaking/scout craft and most importantly, two capital ships on which the games will hinge. These are the Imperial Star Destroyer (Imperials) and the Calamri Cruiser (Rebels). These cruisers can withstand the fire power 10 ships, and are to be used as battering rams, when attacking the enemy base, or defending your home base from an horde of nme ships.

If you do not happen to have SSCX Star Warzone in your list of zones, be sure to click on Find Servers, and use the server (sscentral.ds98.com) and click on Download List. Scroll down on the left side, and find SSCX Star Warzone and add it to your list. Once you have added Star Warzone to your list, we surely recommend you to download our shipset and soundsets (both the soundset and the bong set) to get the full experience of Star Wars and Star Warzone. You can find descriptions of all the sets under our download section so be sure to check that out.

Like a few other Subspace zones, we do happen to have a few simple rules for all players to abide by. You can check out our rules over at the rules section of this site. If you happen to have any problems following or understanding these rules, then the SWZ staff will be glad to help you in anyway they can to make your playing time as much fun as it is for them. One question we get asked often is about the ship rules. Why have them? Well, it's pretty easy to understand why SWZ has ship rules. We are a flagging style zone based on the Star Wars trilogy. You don't want to see an imperial fleet commander flying one of the Rebel alliance ships. In other words, you don't see Darth Vader flying the Millennium Falcon just as you don't see Han Solo flying a Star Destroyer. In order for you to get the full experience of our zone, you need to fly the right ship for your team. Imperials need to fly imperial ships as Rebel scum needs to fly their Rebel ships. Pretty simple eh?

Good luck, and may The Force TM be with you!
